Jäniksen vuosi / The Year of the Hare
Stage design for a theatre play
The Year of the Hare tells the story of Datanome Vatanen, who decides to leave it all and break out from today’s hectic society. She tries to find her own way in life, with the help of a wild hare.
The scenography was created very playfully, with a lot of artistic freedom. It is a play of curtains, a dive into the world of dreams and layers of Vatanen’s psyche.
Premiered in 2022 in Oulu theatre big stage.
